The hotel complex " The Black Stork" is located in the hub of the picturesque Natural Reserve of The Roussenski Lom River, in the village of Nissovo, 30 km off Rousse.

The Village of Nissovo  is located  amidst the  Rusenski Lom Natural Park  along the Beli Lom River Valley  just before it joins the Mali Lom River. It was founded at the time of the  Ottoman Domination by settlers from the Village of Draganovo  in the Turnovo District.In addition to its beautiful landscape, Nissovo boasts  interesting, century-old culture.

The Templers' Graveyard   is  adjacent to the village  where an old Roman road used to  cut through. Each tombstone is designated with a cross and  interesting information about the age, social status and even the job of the deceased.  They are believed to date back from the XII-XIII century, but their story is shrouded in mystery due to unfinished archaeological excavations.

The St. Constantine and St. Ellena Cliff Monastery is situated about 1 1/4 hour walk from Nissovo village in the cliffs above the Mali Lom River. It is the largest in the Lom river valley.  The preserved rock drawings are of amazing pristine beauty, while a magnificent view towards Rusenski Nature Park reveals itself thereby.

Across from the Cliff Monastery, the so called Jewish Hole is to be found, where in the course of World War II Jews used to find shelter. The "Barber' Shop"  is located nearby -  a cliff formation resembling a barber's chair.

 The medieval Bulgarian Town of Tcherven is one of the most significant military, administrative, commercial and ecclesiastic and cultural centre of the Second Bulgarian Kigdom (XII-XIV AD). Its ruins are next to the village with the same name – Tcherven – 15 kilometres away from the village of Nissovo. In 1965 it was declared a National Archaeological Reserve and is very popular tourist site with a well developed infrastructure.

The Village of Ivanovo Cliff Churches and monks' cells form the great monastery complex "Arch-Angel Michael". It was established in the twenties of

XIII century. This unique monument is included in the list of the World Culture and Natural Heritage under the auspices of UNESCO and is one of the 9 Bulgarian sites on the aforesaid list.

The Saint Dimitar of Bassarbovo Cliff Monastery   is located next to the village of Bassarbovo, 23 km off Nissovo village. The earliest historical data harks us back in the XV century. Nowadays, the Bassarbovo Cliff Monastery is permanently open, well preserved and looked after. A gift from the Romanian capital arrived in October 2005 – an icon with a built-in sliver of the saint's relics, that can be seen in the monastery.

The Saint Marina Monastery in the village of Karan Varbovka, though less famous than the other ones, is interesting with the fact that it is among the few functioning maiden monasteries. Myths and legends about its healing waters are carried far and wide.

The Sveshtary Thracean Tomb from the III century BC is situated near the town of Isperih. It is one of the sites included in the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO.
