Welcome to the
majestic Nikula Chorbadzhi Guesthouse, one of the stateliest buildings located
in the core of the fabulous Zheravna Village. Built about 150 years ago, it is
a remarkable model of the Bulgarian Late Revival Architecture. In 1978 the
House has been announced a cultural monument of regional significance. It is
one of the few houses of Plovdiv type in Zheravna, which perhaps premises a set
of advantages with regard to its exterior, interior, holiday conditions and
comfort. The House is two-storied, southerly-exposed, quite roomy and perfectly
lighted up night and day.
The House offers
to its guests a total of 14 beds in 4 spacious and still rooms (2 x 3 + 2 x 4)
approximately 20-25 m2 each, located on the second floor. All rooms are
upholstered in a traditional style and at the same time - modernly equipped.
In each room
there is a wide bedroom suite with bed-side tables and reading lamps, window
seats, wardrobe, writing and TV table, small table with 2 chairs, as well as
satellite TV, convection heater, mini-fridge and safe-box.
Each room has a
bathroom (shower and WC) with ventilation and hair-drier installed in it. The
rooms are suitable for accommodation of individuals, couples and families with
1 or 2 children.
On the ground
floor there is a spacious hall-tavern facing the street. It approximates 60
sq.m and has a 35-seats capacity. The hall disposes of sat.TV, a fireplace and
a stereo. It offers a collection of various music, ranging from traditional
Bulgarian to modern styles. It is suited for workshops and team buildings, for
parties and celebrations on either personal or official occasions.
On the ground
floor there is also a small and cosy banquet hall – tavern (capacity of 10-12
persons), where guests have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of delicious
Bulgarian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, supper and/or dinner.
To the northeast
side of the House guests have at their disposal a nice yard with barbecue and
draw-well. The vine-arbour dappled shade, the enchanting flower scent and
blinding grass verdure, as well as the unforgettable view to the Balkan
Mountain Range, grant guests both sense of perfect fitness and peace of mind.
To the north side
of the House there is a cookhouse, where guests have the opportunity cook for
themselves.
Guests have at
their disposal a built in fireplace for roasting or barbecuing lamb, veal or
pork meat. Here 10-12 persons can nicely spend their time, not disturbed by
anyone, neither bothering the other guests of the House.
Nikula Chorbadzhi
Guest House is surrounded by a high and also authentic 142 years old stone-wall
(typical of Zheravna), behind which in Bulgarian Late Revival style, combined
with all modern facilities, could hide anyone, who would not like to be
disturbed, anyone who searches for a fulltime rest, even for a few days. Here
the privacy, safety, and relaxation of any guest are guaranteed!
The House suits
mountain, eco, rural, culture & history related, and congress tourism, as
well as individuals, families and small groups.
For those who
dream of riding a horse, in the near vicinity of the House (at the square in
front of the library) horse riding and ‘horse-taxi’ is offered. To the guests
who are keen on carpets and textile the place suggests an unique chance for
acquaintance with the so-called Kotlenski carpet-weaving, typical of the
region.
To those willing
to hunt or fish, the place offers some amazing opportunities as well!
